Bev - oil on canvas - 30cm x 40cm NFSThis study was started as part of a demonstration at the Handspinners and Weavers Guild some time ago and later developed to its current state. Painting female friends can be fraught with danger however in this case I was delighted to undertake the sketch and enjoyed the challenges inherent in it. The level of finish is typical of my oil sketches and reveals an immediacy often lost in the finished works, don't you think?
